After the Florida State Thespian Competition was canceled due to COVID-19, I learned about my eligibility to compete at the International level, virtually.
I received a Superior rating with a near-perfect score and earned Best in Show for Set Design internationally.

After a semester of working with AutoCAD in my class, I took and passed the AutoCAD Certified User Exam, meaning I have "the entry-level skills needed to effectively use AutoCAD software."

In my second time competing in Set Design, I received straight perfect scores from all three judges and earned Best in Show for Set Design.
I competed with this piece at the Virtual International Thespian Competition in June 2020.
Technical Theater Scholarship

While competing at the District level, I auditioned for and received the $1,000 scholarship for students majoring in Technical Theater.
Dr. Backel, for whom the scholarship is named, is an assistant principal and former theater instructor at my school has mentored me throughout high school and wrote a recommendation letter that you can view here.

After earning an Honorable Mention at the District Level, I was given the opportunity to compete at the State competition with my design. At States, I received a Superior rating for my piece.

Fall 2018
While working to become a Thespian, I was given the opportunity to compete at the Districts level in Set Design through the Internation Thespian Honor Society. While it was my first time competing, I earned straight Superior ratings, including a perfect score, and was named Honorable Mention for the category.

After three years of theater work, I was inducted into Thespian Troupe 3266. As part of the requirements to be inducted, I calculated my Thespian points, and I had earned over 80 points, each point equating to roughly 10 hours of work in the field of theater.
